Pet Insurance
We’re excited to introduce Spot Pet Insurance (https://spotpet.link/agmcontainer) as a voluntary benefit designed to help employees protect the pets who are an important part of their families. With approximately 70% of U.S. households having at least one pet, pet insurance can provide valuable financial support when unexpected veterinary expenses arise.
Spot offers employees the flexibility to choose coverage that fits both their pet’s needs and their budget. Employees can customize their annual limit, reimbursement rate, deductible, and optional wellness coverage, while having the freedom to visit any licensed veterinarian in the U.S. or Canada.
What This Means for You:
If you switch to Spot Pet Insurance, pre-existing health conditions can be covered if:

The condition was covered by your previous policy*

Your previous policy was continuous and similar to Spot's policy

Your previous insurance was provided by the employer

Interested in Switching? Here’s How:
1. Sign up: Enroll in a Spot Pet Insurance plan at https://spotpet.link/agmcontainer or call their customer service at (888) 343-2340 and mention your partner UD: EBTP_AGM.
*Please note: Accident Only plans do not maintain coverage continuity.
2. Submit Documentation: After enrolling, email satisfactory documentation to coverme@customer.spotpet.com for approval. This documentation must validate that the coverage is comparable and has been continuous:
a.The original effective date of coverage with the prior carrier (e.g., Declarations page), and
b.The paid-through date (e.g., the current month’s billing statement or employer payroll report if premium were payroll deducted).
3. Receive Confirmation: Spot Pet Insurance will confirm your pet’s eligibility for coverage within 3 business days via email. This does not guarantee approval for all future claims.
4. Coverage Start Date: Spot coverage will become effective the next day, and applicable Accident & illness waiting periods will be waived. Once you receive a confirmation email of enrollment, you may cancel their prior pet insurance plan.
If you currently have pet insurance with Nationwide, you have the option to switch to Spot Pet Insurance or go direct payment with Nationwide pet insurance.
